SHOPPING & WINES IN VIA MONTE NAPOLEONE: OUR WINERIES MEET THE FASHION BRANDS

The unmistakable style of Pucci’s clothes and the class of Castellare wines, the splendor of Van Cleef & Arpels’ jewels and the elegance of Rocca di Frassinello’s wines, the warmth of Fendi Casa’s furnishings and the harmony of the Sicilian wines from Feudi del Pisciotto and Gurra di Mare cellars. A marriage of excellences that was celebrated during La Vendemmia di Milano, a glamorous appointment which brings together fashion brands and leading names in the Italian and international wine business, which is held every year in the Milan Fashion Quad.

Thursday, October 11th, Milanese boutiques have combined clothing, jewels and design furniture with the wines of our Tuscan and Sicilian Wineries, creating an original pairing for their clients. Starting from 7.30 pm guests were able to go shopping and, at the same time, taste our top-of-the-range wines.

Among the items on display in the Pucci boutique in via Montenapoleone, bottles of Chianti Classico and I Sodi di S. Niccolò di Castellare di Castellina have appeared, distinguished by the iconic birds depicted on their labels, in tune with the patterns of Pucci clothing and accessories: a perfect combination between two great expressions of Tuscany.

Jewel among the jewels, in the boutique Van Cleef & Arpels in via Montenapoleone, next to the windows that display the masterpieces of high jewelry of the French maison, appeared Baffonero, the Grand Cru 100% Merlot of Rocca di Frassinello considered by critics among the best Merlot in the world. The wine was also served in the boutique’s privé, an intimate and private boudoir that welcomes customers engaged in important purchases. Guests had also the chance to taste the Rocca di Frassinello, flagship wine of the namesake cellar renowned for its elegance, the Ornello and the Vermentino.

Finally, the Sicilian wines of Feudi del Pisciotto and Gurra di Mare were welcomed by Fendi Casa: in the cozy rooms of the boutique, customers could taste the Tirsat, harmonious white wine from Gurra di Mare, but also Frappato and Nero D’Avola – both from the Fashion Designer Collection by Feudi del Pisciotto – and, last but not least, L’Eterno, the Sicilian Pinot Noir, flagship wine by Feudi del Pisciotto.

La Vendemmia di Milano was preceded by a charity event, organized by the Italian Grandi Cru Committee, which brought together the 100 most prestigious Italian wine producers for an auction held by Christie’s whose proceeds were donated to CBDIN (Carlo Besta Department of Neurological Infantile) Onlus. The record sale of the auction was a batch consisted of a double magnum of Rocca di Frassinello Beaubourg Limited Edition 2013 and Magnum of Ornellaia and Grattamacco.
