FEUDI DEL PISCIOTTO NERO D’AVOLA 2015 IN THE WINE SPECTATOR’S TOP 100

Feudi del Pisciotto Nero d’Avola 2015Versace label is the only Sicilian wine included in the Wine Spectator’s Top 100 of 2017.

“A well-focused, rich red in a balanced, medium bodied frame, this offers a subtle underpinning of tarry mineral notes layered over light, sculpted tannins and flavors of mulberry and dried fig, with hints of herbes de Provence and mocha. Drink now through 2025”.

Versace Nero d'AvolaThis flattering opinion expressed by Alison Napjus, senior editor Wine Spectator, the most influential American magazine in the world of wine, seals an extraordinary recognition for a wine that embodies the oenological character of Sicily. Obtained from a top selection of Feudi del Pisciotto’s grapes, this Nero d’Avola expresses in absolute purity the great elegance and evolving nature of the autochthonous Sicilian variety.

“We are very happy for this important recognition – says Alessandro Cellai, AD and oenologist at Feudi del Pisciottowho rewards the far-sightedness of the property, represented by Mr. Paolo Panerai, and the scrupulous work done by our dynamic and passionate team, both in the vineyards and in the cellar. This success makes us proud and pushes us to continue in this direction.”

Feudi del Pisciotto Nero d’Avola 2015 belongs to the Grandi Stilisti Collection, a special wine line featuring different labels designed by renowned Italian fashion designers, including Versace. This makes Feudi del Pisciotto Nero d’Avola 2015 an extraordinary wine not only inside but outside. Last October, in Milan, during Bottiglie Aperte 2017, the Grandi Stilisti Collection won the WINE STYLE AWARD for Best Packaging.

The Grandi Stilisti Collection was born in 2007, from a successful idea of Paolo Panerai, whose aim was to celebrate two great Italian excellences: Wine and Fashion. The project gave birth to 9 single-varietal editions with elegant labels designed by Versace, Missoni, Blumarine, Alberta Ferretti, Gianfranco Ferré, Brioni, Gian Battista Valli and Carolina Marengo.
