ROCCA DI FRASSINELLO, FOR THE SECOND TIME, AMONG THE TOP DESIGN WINERIES AROUND THE WORLD ACCORDING TO ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST

Top architects, spectacular designs, excellent wines, idyllic settings. These are the key features that transform wineries in must-see destinations to visit once in your lifetime.

According to Architectural Digest, Rocca di Frassinello boasts all of them since, for the second time, it has been included in the AD top ranking of the world’s best cellars recently released. From the Napa Valley to Italy, AD experts traveled around the globe to select the 19 most spectacular design cellars where it is possible to live an unforgettable experience from an enological, cultural and hospitality point of view. A tour designed, therefore, not only for oenophiles but also for those who appreciate amazing architectures, breathtaking natural sceneries and, of course, excellent wines.

Designed by Renzo Piano in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, Rocca di Frassinello is one of the three Italian wineries included in the list. “The choice of AD is a great honor for us and a due recognition to the greatness of Renzo Piano, whose talent has been celebrated in recent days with the opening of a great exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts” commented Paolo Panerai, President of Rocca di Frassinello “a tribute that rewards the work of a special friend for me, but also the commitment of those who work day by day to shape the soul of our winery, well appreciated for its award-winning wines but also for the warm welcome and the rich cultural offer”.

The special AD ranking was released for the first time in 2014 and it included 14 design wineries selected around the world. The international prestige of Rocca di Frassinello has been further reiterated with the exhibition “Renzo Piano – The Art of Making Buildings” underway at the Royal Academy of Arts in London from 15 September 2018 to 20 January 2019. At the official opening event the genius of Renzo Piano has been celebrated toasting with the special editions Rocca Beaubourg and Renzo Piano Senatore of the Rocca di Frassinello wine dedicated to the great architect who designed the winery in the Tuscan Maremma.
