FRANCO FONTANA
This Modena-born lover of good food has written books on the best hotels and restaurants in the world. At 65 years, he is one of the Italian photographers in demand by the world’s museums (from Moma in New York to the Museum of modern Art in Paris). In this new art marketplace, his photos fetch the highest prices. Achille Bonito Oliva believes Fontana could easily fit in the sensitivity of Trans-avant-garde art because of the way he extrapolates natural details with unlimited colour choices. Leaving his photos with singns of his relationship with nature, he moves from one subject to another with both eclecticism and inconstancy.
