I Sodi di S. Niccolò 2016, Castellare di Castellina’s Supertuscan based on Sangioveto and black Malvasia, and Baffonero 2017, the 100% Merlot Grand Cru of Rocca di Frassinello, are in the top ranking of the best Italian red wines released by Gentleman magazine, which every year sums up the scores awarded by the most authoritative Italian and international wine critics.

In the TOP 100 Italian red wines list, obtained by adding the scores awarded by the Italian guides Bibenda, Guida Essenziale ai Vini d’Italia by Daniele Cernilli, Vini d’Italia by Gambero Rosso, Vitae by Associazione Italiana Sommelier, I Vini di Veronelli and l’Annuario dei migliori vini italiani by Luca Maroni, I Sodi di S. Niccolò 2016 is in 3rd position. A great success consolidated by another important accolade: the 6th position in the ranking of the best Italian wines in the world obtained by crossing Italian and international ratings (Wine Spectator, Wine Advocate, James Suckling and Vinous by Antonio Galloni). A ranking that includes in the TOP 8 list only Tuscan wines. Among these, we find in 5th position Baffonero 2017, Rocca di Frassinello Grand Cru.

The top labels of the two Tuscan wineries of the Domini Castellare di Castellina group are therefore considered as Italian wine excellences, thanks to the painstaking work of the oenologist Alessandro Cellai and his team who have always been committed to sustainable viticulture in order to obtain top quality wines.
