This is the celebratory edition of Rocca di Frassinello 2020<\/strong>, created to celebrate the 20 vintages<\/strong> of the winery. What makes this wine unique is the selection of the best Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot grapes from the estate. In particular, the Merlot grapes are the same ones that give life to Baffonero<\/strong>, the highest wine of Rocca di Frassinello, considered one of the best Merlots in the world, as stated by Jean-Francis P\u00e9cresse, a prominent French journalist who featured it in a full-page article in the newspaper Les Echos, owned by Bernard Arnault.

\r\n\r\nTwenty years ago<\/strong>, on the hills of Rocca di Frassinello, in the heart of Maremma Tuscany, the first harvest took place. From the Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot grapes, Rocca di Frassinello<\/strong> \u2013 Maremma Toscana 2004<\/strong> was born, the first label, the grand vin according to Bordeaux classification, the highest expression of the Italian-French project that gave rise to the only winery in the world designed by Renzo Piano, born from a joint venture between Castellare di Castellina and Ch\u00e2teau Lafite Rothschild.

\r\n\r\n\u201cThe 2020 vintage was characterized by excellent grape quality,<\/em>\u201d explains the winemaker and vice president of the Domini Castellare di Castellina group, Alessandro Cellai<\/strong>. \u201cDespite the rather warm summer temperatures, the climatic conditions allowed for perfect grape maturation, and a good temperature range between day and night favored aromatic and polyphenolic concentration. All of this is reflected in the glass of the special edition of Rocca di Frassinello 2020, a wine that manages to combine strength, intensity, elegance, with soft tannins that make it round in the mouth\u201d<\/em>.
