Made exclusively from indigenous grape varieties, Sangiovese (90%) and Canaiolo (10%), Castellare’s Chianti Classico is produced according to the best Chianti traditions, without the addition of international varieties. It is an authentic wine that tells the story of the territory with class and elegance. This colorful bird is famous for its melodious song and loves to nest in trees near the vineyards. The Great Tit is fond of grape berries and flits between the rows during harvest time, feeding on the grapes that fall to the ground. It also enjoys berries and insects found among the vines. It is easily recognizable by its bright yellow underbelly, marked with a black stripe.

The 2023 Harvest
Like the rest of Italy, the Chianti Classico region experienced a very rainy spring in 2023, which required more careful and attentive work in the vineyards to prevent potential fungal diseases. The heat of July and August did not stress the plants, as water reserves were more than sufficient. Additionally, thanks to the warm season, no insect attacks were reported. The good temperature variation between day and night in late August and early September allowed the grapes to reach optimal ripeness. The grapes brought to the winery were healthy and of high quality. The Chianti Classico 2023 reveals great freshness in the glass, with soft and velvety tannins.

Food Pairings
Castellare’s Chianti Classico is a very versatile wine that pairs well with flavorful dishes such as pasta with ragù, aged cheeses, meat stews, roasts, and the classic Florentine steak, a tribute to Tuscan tradition. In particular, it often accompanies delicious game dishes on Chianti tables, such as Pici with white hare ragù and wood pigeon cacciatora.

Purchase the Chianti Classico 2023 from Castellare di Castellina
[50
326,128,344
post-11948","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-en","tag-castellare-dii-castellina","tag-chianti-classico","tag-vendemmia-2023
["GET
