Niccol\u00f2<\/strong>. With the\r\n2022 vintage, the Super Tuscan from\u00a0Castellare di Castellina\u00a0commemorates a special milestone with an\r\nelegant new look worthy of the finest occasions. Taking center stage is the new bird illustration, which\r\nchanges every year as a tribute to endangered species. This time, it is the European Stonechat (Saxicola\r\ntorquatus), a brightly colored bird often spotted among the vineyards of Castellare.<\/p>\r\nThe 2022 vintage, which has already received <strong>96\/100 points from\u00a0Decanter\u00a0and 95\/100 from\u00a0James<\/strong>\r\n<strong>Suckling,<\/strong> is particularly enjoyable and vibrant in the glass, with a long and persistent finish.\r\n\u201cI Sodi di S. Niccol\u00f2\u00a02022 stands out for its remarkable aromatic intensity and its dense yet elegant\r\nstructure, with soft, silky tannins. Made from Sangioveto (85%) and Malvasia Nera (15%), the wine\r\nhas earned numerous accolades over the years, securing a place three times in the Top 100 List by\u00a0Wine\r\nSpectator\u00a0and debuting with the 2020 vintage in the first global Top 100 by\u00a0Vinous\u00a0by\u00a0Antonio Galloni.\r\nThese recognitions pay tribute to the vision and expertise of\u00a0Alessandro Cellai, winemaker for the\u00a0Domini\r\nCastellare di Castellina\u00a0group.\r\n\r\n<br><br>\r\n\r\n<strong>The 2022 Harvest<\/strong>\r\nThe 2022 growing season was marked by a hot and dry climate, with good spring water reserves followed\r\nby an arid summer and high temperatures. However, rainfall at the end of August favored grape ripening,\r\nallowing for an early yet balanced harvest with healthy and well-concentrated grapes.\r\nThe wines from this vintage display an intense color, with mature and refined aromatic profiles featuring\r\nnotes of red fruit and floral hints, accompanied by delicate spicy nuances.
