This is demonstrated by the success achieved by <strong>Baffonero<\/strong>, <strong>Rocca di Frassinello<\/strong>\u2019s top wine, and by <strong>I Sodi di S. Niccol\u00f2<\/strong>, <strong>Castellare di Castellina<\/strong>\u2019s flagship wine, during the auction held in Florence, on 17 and 18 June, by the well-known <strong>Pandolfini Auction House<\/strong>.<!--more--><br><br>\r\n\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.castellare.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.castellare.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/1-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-9124\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.castellare.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/1-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.castellare.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/1-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.castellare.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/1-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.castellare.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/1.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><br><br>\r\n\r\nThe Double Magnum of <strong>Baffonero 2015<\/strong>, 100% Merlot wine challenger to Masseto by Ornellaia, was sold for <strong>\u20ac 2,021<\/strong> (including auction fees) with a starting bid of \u20ac 800, while the Double Magnum of <strong>I Sodi di S.Niccol\u00f2 2013<\/strong>, Supertuscan (blend of Sangioveto and Malvasia nera), was sold for <strong>1,225 euros<\/strong> (including auction fees) with a starting bid of 450 euros.<br><br>\r\n\r\nBaffonero and I Sodi di S. Niccol\u00f2 are in the fine wine portfolio of many collectors. Among the negociants who have placed the two labels in important collections there is OenoFuture, a company with offices in London, Bordeaux and Tuscany that provides a personalized advisory service for both newcomers and experienced fine wine collectors. Since 2005 the fine wine market has seen growth of 198%, making it a very attractive safe haven for investors keen to diversify their portfolio. <br><br>\r\n\r\nIndeed, more and more collectors and non-collectors are investing on the world\u2019s finest and rarest wines, such as Baffonero and I Sodi di S. Niccol\u00f2 which, in addition to being awarded by national and international critics, are wines of great structure and longevity.
